Dominion remains red hot with front-end score

Dominion remained red hot on a chilly Wednesday afternoon at the Saratoga Casino Hotel as the Brielle Roman-trained four-year-old runner won for the fourth time in his last five starts.

Dominion drew the bar for his effort in a $10,000 trotting event, finishing as the crowd favorite in a start that saw him go coast-to-coast to triumph for the fourth time in the class with one start-up in between.

Justin Huckabone piloted Dominion, who came away in second and was content to pocket rival Struttin Yankee (Leon Bailey) in the first round. The big favorite was led out by Huckabone approaching the three-quarter post and quickly imposed his will.

Dominion pulled away in the stretch before stopping the timer in 1:58.4 for his fourth victory of 2025.

DOMINION REPEAT

Struttin Yankee finished second to razor-sharp Dominion, while Nifty Fifty (Chris Long) finished third. Dominion is owned by Matthew Dugan.

Live racing will resume on Sunday and the Super High 5 jackpot will be mandatory paid out in the afternoon final. The jackpot is over $20,000. The first post time for the Sunday matinee is set for 12:00 noon.
