Dominick Reyes is in a good mood after a knockout loss last Saturday.
Reyes was in a crucial light heavyweight matchup with Carlos Ulberg in the UFC Perth headliner. The competition ended in the opening frame when Ulberg delivered a one-two combination that made Reyes crash to the Canvas. Ulberg ended the fight via Knock -Out and he is in an excellent position to challenge the winner of the UFC 320 -Rematch between Magomed Ankalaev and Alex Pereira.
As far as Reyes is concerned, it’s a tough break. “The Devastator” had enjoyed a revival of the career after he had fought out of a four-field slip. Reyes came back on the right track with victories over Dustin Jacoby, Anthony Smith and Nikita Krylov. He has to go back to the drawing table after his first defeat since 2022.

In a post on his Instagram -AccountReyes briefly spoke to Ulberg’s loss.
“Congratulations to Carlos, was just not my night. God is always good.”
Ulberg hopes to serve as a backup option for emergency aid for the UFC 320 Main Event Title Fight between Ankalaev and Pereira. During the UFC Perth Post-Fight Presser, “Black Jag” explained why he would like to take on the role (via Inappropriate).
“I am here to break records,” said Ulberg. “This is what I want to do. From the top of my head, I don’t think someone fought a fight and then the next weekend fight for the title. That’s what I propose. That is how I think that it can happen. So I put it in the air. I just want to be there. I just want to be there.
