Los Angeles Dodgers Two-Way Star Shohei Ohtani will probably make a start as a pitcher in the wildcard round, according to the latest update of manager Dave Roberts.

“We don’t know yet,” said Roberts. “I think it just gives us some options. But the chance that he will start a play -off game in that first series is very high.”
Ohtani made his last start against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday evening. The right -handed threw six innings in the series opener for the first time this season and set up the Dodgers for a much -needed victory.
Ohtani did not allow runs on five hits with eight strikeouts. The right-handed left the game with the Dodgers who led the snakes, 4-0, but La’s Bullpen collapsed again.
The conclusion of the series opener was all too familiar with the Diamondbacks that ran into Tanner Scott to give Arizona a 5-4 victory.
The performance of Ohtani was unfortunately spoiled by a new bullpen -in -melting, but his last pitching start of the regular season was a sign of good things that would come in October. He is ready to take the hill next Tuesday, when the Wild Card series of the Dodgers starts.
Ohtani has thrown an ERA of 2.87 with 62 strikeouts over 47 innings this season. The Dodgers need their starting pitchers to go deep into competitions in view of the battle of the Bullpen, and the last start of Ohtani was certainly promising that this will be the case in October.
