Dodgers notes: One World Series win, NLCS domination, Jackson Chourio injury update

The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 3-1 on Thursday to take a 3-0 lead in the NLCS. The defending champions are just one win away from returning to the Fall Classic, and five wins away from becoming baseball’s first repeat champions in a quarter century.

A Shohei Ohtani triple started things off for LA when a Mookie Betts double brought it home, and an eight-strikeout performance from Tyler Glasnow kept the 97-win Brewers at bay, allowing just three hits and one earned run in 5.2 innings of work. An RBI single by Tommy Edman in the sixth inning would extend the Dodgers’ lead, and a pickoff error later in the frame brought home Freddie Freeman as the 3–1 lead would persist thanks to the bullpen.

Brewers superstar Jackson Chourio had to leave the game in the top of the seventh inning, however, with an apparent right leg injury. He left Game 3 midway through his at-bat and appeared to suffer the injury during his swing, and after a very recent history of hamstring complications on his right is the hope that the injury is not too serious.
