Dodgers 9, Rockies 0: A 3-game Sweep and a 3-game NL West-Lead Achter Snell & Betts-Dodgers Digest

The Dodgers had a golden chance tonight to really let some momentum roll, and luckily they managed to do exactly that. The bats set up a crooked number early Mookie Betts continued his hot hit, and Blake Snell threw six shutout in a 9-0 win to complete the sweep of the Rockies. That is four in a row.

=======

Let’s start with the rotation and Blake Snell, who was able to find his usual number of Whiffs tonight, even when it came with a typical raised pitch.

Snell transmitted a one-out walk in the 1st and a two-out single in the 3rd, with his first Risp in the 4th after a two-out walk and stolen base, but not give up. He continued to roll and made sure that there was not much to write about, and only gave up a one-out single in the 6th before he ended his outing with nothing but zeros on the board.

This was pretty Peak Snell, complete with double digits and deep counts: 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 11 K, 104 throws.

——

Fortunately, Snell was able to leave the game with a lead thanks to some early attack. Surprisingly, it was not in the 1st despite this Mookie Betts “Single” that fell into it.

It was rather the 2nd that it did, and another Rockies mislead for one Tommy Edman Grounder started things. Miguel Rojas continued his hot hit with a single, then Andy -Pages Followed with a double of the wall to start the score. Enrique Hernandez Followed with a flyball along the line on the right, which was detected for a SAC fly after Miggy had detached the trailer to score. After a groundout had made it two, the Dodgers remained behind one Shohei Ohtani Single and a Mookie double to bring the score to 4-0.

The rally ended there and the Dodgers followed with three relatively quiet innings.

The 6th led to some life, because Rojas started things again with a single one, and later Leg rortvedt Maintained things with his own own to compensate the runners with two. The Rockies then deliberately walked on Shohei on four fields to load the bases, but Mookie was out to put an end to that opportunity to blow things open.

Of course the pen still had to do work, because this was the kind of game that they usually implode to kill all vibes.

These are the kind of games that the pen melts and lets one loss feel like two, so let’s change that, plz.

Good, Michael Kopech Let things look like a repeat of games. He started the 7th by getting one out, but then walked the next three batters to charge them.

And so Dave Roberts went to Alex shutters To save him, and he did exactly that with two huge back-to-back strikeouts.

Shocking, Dave then went to Kirby YatesBut luckily he rewarded his confidence and got a 1-2-3 frame in the 8th.

——

All this time the attack could not have added, but after a quiet 7th the Dodgers brought the accelerator to the 8th.

Andy Pages led away with a single, Rortvedt followed with his second single with one to set up a few, and things were loaded after Shohei reached the interference of the catcher. So Mookie came up again with the bags, and on a 3-0 count he waved away and pulled a ball for his 18th Homer of the Year to bring the score to 8-0.

That is his fourth hit of the night and his fourth Homer of the Month, who binds his season high in a month in just 10 days.

Teoscar Hernandez Then that followed by breaking his 24th Dong of the year and pushing things to 9-0.

And so it was Anthony Banda Able to cruise home in the 9th, although he has published a walk.

Noe!

People wanted to drop this man briefly, lol.

I don’t know what this is.
