Maplewood is put in the southwest of Portland and is bordered by the village of Multnomah in the east, garden house in the north and Hayhurst in the west. Originally agricultural land in the early 1900s, Maplewood grew into a leafy residential area known for its quiet streets, larger plots and a mix of architectural styles. Nowadays it offers a sub -city feeling, while it is still just a short drive to the center of Portland, with the added bonus of strong community schools and lots of green space.
Local highlights to view:

Property:
The housing stock of Maplewood is a charming mix of ranches from the middle of the century, traditional Cape CODs and newer infill houses that meet modern flavors. Many are usually larger than average for Portland, with sufficient space for gardens, play areas and outdoor life. Houses here are often a slightly lower price than the nearby village of Multnomah or Hillsdale, making Maplewood an attractive choice for buyers who want space, character and proximity to the best facilities of Southwest.
