Pitching in a less stressful sixth inning designed to increase his self-confidence, Devin Williams seemed like a better pitcher during the 7-1 loss of the Yankees for the Astros in the Bronx.

Williams hit the side – Chas McCormick, Jeremy Peña and Carlos Correa – On his 11 throws (10 strikes).

His afternoon ended a series of five straight performances in which he had allowed at least one point.

After Williams, Brent Headrick threw two scoreless innings in which he switched four.

The Lefty has allowed one point and threw 14 in its last 10 innings.

A day after he successfully played the right field, Giancarlo Stanton from the starting line-up was before he made a late game cameee.

Aaron Boone “flirt” with starting Stanton in the outfield for two consecutive days, but he decided not to do it for a player who had previously not played the outfield in almost two years.

With a Lefty on the hill in the seventh inning, Boone Pinch Stanton hit Jasson Domínguez. Stanton hit a single and played the right field for the last two innings without incidents.

The outfield experiment continues because the DH spot is blocked. Aaron Judge can hit, but cannot play the outfield after a flexor voltage, from which he slowly builds up his elbow.

Judge, who thrown on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and would be expected to throw on Sunday again, is on schedule to appear again in the outfield “rather instead of later,” said Boone.

“No update,” said Judge about his throwing program. “So far, so good.”

The Yankees are notoriously careful with the assignment of recovery lines for Judge, and Boone refused to reveal when he can return to the outfield. According to all reports, however, Judge is getting closer.

“It’s going pretty well,” said Boone. “We’ll see.”

From Ryan Yarbrough (slanted) and Fernando Cruz (slanted) it was expected that they would throw live batting practices in Somerset.

Yarbrough, who was approximate two innings, will be stretched as a starter. Whether he returns as a starter or reliever still has to be determined.

After Saturday’s Old-Timers Day, Clay Bellinger kept hanging around and threw the ceremonial first throw to son Cody.
