Rumors have swirled in recent days that a matchup between former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor and former BMF titleholder Jorge Masvidal would headline the White House. This came after Masvidal hinted at an impending announcement in several interviews and refused to dismiss the idea of fighting McGregor at the event.
McGregor has not fought since injuring his leg against Masvidal’s old teammate, Dustin Poirier, at UFC 264. Masvidal retired after a loss to Gilbert Burns at UFC 287.

In a recent interview with TMZ SportsWhite addressed the recent rumors surrounding Masvidal, McGregor and a possible White House fight.
“In my algorithm on Instagram, I have nothing to do with MMA,” White said.
‘I don’t listen to all that crazy stuff, it goes on and on [McGregor vs. Masvidal] crazy s-.”
McGregor and Masvidal were first linked to a potential fight after UFC 244, following Masvidal’s BMF title victory over Nate Diaz. McGregor returned to the Octagon at UFC 246, defeating Donald Cerrone by first-round knockout in a welterweight bout.
White has repeatedly teased McGregor returning on the upcoming White House card, possibly against Michael Chandler. At the time of writing, it is uncertain whether Masvidal has a fight lined up this year.
White is expected to finalize and announce the matchups for the White House card in April or May, ahead of the June event.
