Dan Hooker is not interested in taking the easy way to a UFC title.

Only a few years ago Hooker looked like his days like a legitimate competition in the lightweight division. Now ‘The Hangman’ won three straight ahead last year, including a huge Split-Decision W about Mateusz Gamrot.

Then Hooker will climb to the top 10 of the top 10 on November 22 on November 22 on November 22 when he meets number 2.

“Many people see Arman as the most difficult fight in the division, even more than Ilia Topuria,” Hooker said Submission radio. “They try to avoid it. But you know me – I don’t do things in the easy way. I want the most difficult way that is possible. I think it’s great. Everyone will think that he is better than me and that I am not going to defeat him, but that really brings the best of me to the front.

“I can come in without weight on my shoulders and just get full of poison. I’m full of poison for this fight … I’m just going to be looking to hurt him. I can’t wait.”

An 11-year-old veteran of the OctagonHooker is 14-8 in his UFC career with half of his victories that come via KO/TKO.

In the meantime, Tsarukyan is taking the match on a four-fighter wintreak, his most recent victory against former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira. That victory was good enough to earn him a shot against the then title holder, Islam Makhachev. Tsarukyan, however, pulled himself a few hours before the event from their UFC 311 headliner due to an alleged back injury.
