Adjusting the loft angle of Mizuno JPX One Woods
There are a few simple steps you can take to adjust the loft angle of your fairway. All you need is an adjustment tool or a wrench to get started.
Here’s how to customize Mizuno JPX One Fairway Woods:
1. Locate the screw on the sole of your Mizuno JPX One Woods that secures the fairway head to the shaft.
2. Using the wrench, loosen the screw by turning counterclockwise.
3. Once the screw is fully loosened, you can rotate the adjustable hose to a lower cage or a higher cage depending on your preference. You will see the loft options you had the club set to and you can rotate the shaft to up to 16 other options.
The settings at a Mizuno hostel mean the following:
- STD – Standard loft, standard lie. This is the neutral factory setting
- LOW – Standard position, loft reduced by approximately 2° from indicated. This also opens the clubface slightly and reduces launch/spin
- HIGH – Standard position, loft increased by approximately 2°. This closes the clubface slightly and increases launch/spin
- U/UPRIGHT – Same loft as STD, but lie angle approximately 2-3° more upright to promote a more draw-biased starting line
- +1 – Loft increased by 1° from indicated, close to standard
- +2 – Loft increased by 2° from indicated, close to standard
- -1 – Loft reduced by 1° from indicated, close to standard
- -2 – Loft reduced by 2° from indicated, close to standard
4. When you have rotated the hosel to the desired loft, slide the shaft back into your club head. Your new loft will be visible through the loft cover at most clubs.
5. Replace the screw and tighten it clockwise with the wrench. When it is fully tightened, you will hear a crank that sounds like the club head is cracking. At this point the screw is tightened as much as necessary.
Each time you want to adjust the hutch, repeat this process.
