According to him, Cristiano Ronaldo could leave Al Nassr Football insider. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker is not happy with the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) that Al Nassr currently manages.
Journalist Pete O’Rourke said: “Clearly the door has been opened for a possible move for Ronaldo with this standoff between him, Al Nassr and the Saudi backers.
“He is unhappy with the recruitment at his club and thinks that the Saudi people who finance these teams, PIF, are giving preferential treatment to some of their rivals.
“Things are looking very messy for the Saudi Pro League at the moment. Ronaldo missed a match in midweek and it is said he could also miss a second match even though he is back in training.”
“Ronaldo, if he’s not happy with the situation, we’ve seen him force a departure before. He got his departure from Manchester United when he wasn’t happy with the way things were going at Old Trafford.”
“The same thing could happen to Al Nassr, I’m sure, if he’s not happy. He’s very headstrong and would think, ‘Okay, I’ll go somewhere else.’
“I am sure there will be clubs who will be willing to give Ronaldo a chance despite his age. He is still scoring goals and will strive to stay sharp and fit, ready for Portugal at the World Cup this summer.”
