The “Spring Cash Splash” of the club injects an extra $ 42,000 in Stakemoney into different races, together with a bonus of $ 8,000 trainers that should be decided on a point system.

Managing Director Cam Gallagher said that the results were already visible in the Father’s Day meeting of this Sunday.

“We are very satisfied because 12 of our previous 13 meetings have had programs of only six races, in which between 44 and 55 horses participated,” Gallagher said.

“This Sunday we have 68 horses that compete in eight races. The club and committee have decided the idea for the Splash for Spring Cash Splash and it seems to have an impact. Based on the increased number during the next meeting it is a step in the right direction.”

Gallagher said that races at the bottom of the National Ratings scale would receive a Stakemoney boost from between $ 500 and $ 2000.

“The goal is clear to stimulate interest, and we hope that the handy little bonuses will encourage trainers to race in Cranbourne. Between now and 25 November points will be awarded to trainers who let horses run in the first five,” he said.

“We will release a weekly running count and at the end the leading trainer will receive $ 5000; second $ 2000, while the third place receives $ 1000. We will continue to reward participants with a $ 200 trainer Winbonus, automatically paid via the HRV payment system.”

The initiatives increase the total Stakemoney contribution of the club for the 2025/26 season to $ 167,000, including support for the $ 150,000 G1 Decron Cranbourne Gold Cup and the G1 Trotters Cup, both planned for Saturday 31 January 2026.

President David Scott said that the club was determined to take care of participants at all levels.

“We are a financially robust club and we really enjoy the chance to bring prosperity back to participants in industry.

“We are proud of what we have achieved here, and there are so many things to attract people. The new stable is the last project,” Scott said.

“With the club that took an important step to bring the Pacing and Trotters Cups to the G1 status, we believed that it was necessary to take care of the basic deployment. We also have a number of vacant boxes in the training center, so we are ready to welcome everyone – this season saw 100 winners from there, while last season.”

Sutton Grange Horseman Ross Graham welcomed the “Cash Splash” as another positive step of the Cranbourne Club.

“It is an easy ride along the highway for us – and it is not a hassle on a Sunday, while it can be on a weekday,” said Graham.

“It is a good club and it is great to see that they do their best to take care of us. We have done reasonably well over the years. I am sure that the money pole and the chance of a bonus of $ 8000 will attract more trainers.”
