Is the training camp too fast for transactions to happen?
Dave Pagnotta of the fourth period joined TSN Radio in Montreal On Monday. He was asked if there is a chance of movement in the early training camp and whether there are some teams ready to take a step.

Dave Pagnotta: “Well, yes, I mean, there are teams that have, and it is even more, many teams such as, half of the teams, are basically overloaded with depth. There are too many pieces they have, such as, I am here in Toronto, they have, they have, effective, effective, five lines they can roll.

Nhlrumors.com comment: There was a lot of talk in the low season about how active it would be, then nothing. However, there is a conviction that movements can happen in the NHL that are comparable to what we saw last year, early in the season.

Teams such as the Montreal Canadiens still want to add and can make a similar move as they took over Alexandre Carrier. It will be interesting to see how teams navigate LTIR and the changing landscape. However, it is now too early because some teams do not know who they are or what they have.
