Conor Benn delivered a dominant performance against Chris Eubank Jr. in their long-awaited rematch on Saturday.
The more than 60,000 spectators in the Tottenheim Hotspur Stadium were clearly on the side of Benn, who immediately came to the fore and wanted to put pressure on Eubank. After a fairly competitive opening round, Benn seemed to take the lead in the second. That wouldn’t last long, however, as Eubank would land some heavy counterattacks in the third.
Through three rounds, Benn led the striking 25-15, and it became clear that he was starting to gain some serious momentum as he continued his jab, taking out Eubank with a solid one-two combination in round five.
The sixth was the tale of two rounds, with Eubank starting hot and mixing up his shots. However, it was Benn who showed up late in the stanza, landing a clean right hand on Eubank’s chin.
Benn remained the more active fighter in the eights, although Eubank continued to find success attacking his opponent’s body. As the round came to a close, Eubank landed a hard right hand followed by a left hook that seemingly tilted the round in his favor, closing the gap on the scorecards.
Benn dropped Eubank early in the ninth and connected with a stiff one-two. Eubank tried to fire back with a one-two of his own, but missed the target. Eubank received another nasty shock to the body, prompting him to retreat. Eubank connected with a few lefties late, but it was too little too late.
By the end of the eleventh round, it became clear that Eubank would have to pull out all the stops in the final round if he hoped to leave with a victory over Benn.
Unfortunately for Eubank, that moment would never come. Instead, Eubank hit the mat twice in the final three minutes and was ultimately saved by the bell, putting us on the scorecards for what would be a decisive decision in favor of ‘The Destroyer’.

With the win, Benn improved to 36-3 overall and successfully avenged his decision loss to Eubank in April.
