Completely local AI agent runs on Raspberry Pi, with a little patience

[Simone]’s Ai Assistant, Napynchronized Max Headboxis a local AI agent targeted by profit facade who is able to follow instructions and perform simple tasks. It is an experiment in many ways, but also a great demonstration, not only what is possible with the type of open tools and hardware that is available for a modern hobbyist, but also a reminder of how far some of these software tools have come in just a few short years.

Max Headbox is not only a local large language model (LLM) that runs on Pi -hardware; The model is able to make tool calls in a loop and turn them together to complete tasks. This means that the system can break down a spoken instruction (for example: “Find the weather report for today and e -mail it to me”) in a series of steps to complete, using software tools if necessary throughout the entire process until the task is completed.

Watch Maximum In action in the video (also embedded below). Maximum Is a bit slow, but not unusable. With regard to the concept of concept, it shows that a basis for such systems is perfectly feasible on budget hardware that performs free, locally installed software. View the Github -Repository.

The name is of course a game on Max headroomThe so-called TV personality generated by the computer of the 1980s who was actually an actor in a mask, just like the person behind which was probably the most famous broadcast TV hack of all time (while he was wearing a maximum main room mask).

Thanks [JasonK] For the tip!
