COMBATE GLOBAL Announces Kenya “Mexican Queen” Enriquez to Headline Event March 12 in Burbank

BURBANK, CALIF. – COMBATE GLOBAL has officially announced that three-time world boxing champion and undefeated MMA fighter Kenya Enriquez (28-1, 11 KOs in boxing; 2-0 MMA) will headline the promotion’s second event of the year on Thursday, March 12, live from EstrellaTV’s studio in Burbank, California.

The event will be broadcast live and free in the United States in Spanish on EstrellaTV and Samsung TV Plus at 10pm ET / 9pm CT. Fans around the world can also stream the action live and for free in English on “FIGHTTIPS,” the YouTube channel of renowned MMA content creator Shane Fazen. Additionally, the card will be broadcast live in Mexico via Samsung TV Plus.

Enriquez makes her third MMA appearance

The 31-year-old Enriquez, who fights in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, will face CaySea McBride (0-3) in a strawweight (115 pound) main event at La Jaula – the COMBATE GLOBAL cage.

Enriquez continues her transition from elite level boxing to mixed martial arts under the guidance of veteran fighter and trainer Carlos “Goku” Arana at Delta Martial Arts in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.

“Boxing was once the kingship of combat sports. Today, MMA has flipped the script and is now at the top. COMBATE royally welcomes boxing champion Kenya Enriquez, queen of the squared circle, to La Jaula,” said Campbell McLaren, CEO of COMBATE GLOBAL.

A decorated boxing champion enters La Jaula

Since turning pro in 2014, Enriquez has built an impressive boxing resume. During her 13-year career, she has captured the World Boxing Organization (WBO) Flyweight World Championship and claimed two separate World Boxing Council (WBC) interim world titles.

Now undefeated in MMA at 2-0, Enriquez is looking to further establish himself as one of the most successful crossover athletes in combat sports.

She joins a remarkable list of accomplished boxers who have competed under the COMBATE GLOBAL banner. The promotion hosted multiple world champion Amanda Serrano twice between 2018 and 2019. Additionally, undefeated boxer and Lucha Libre star Dulce Garcia – commonly known as ‘Sexy Star’ – competed for the promotion three times between 2019 and 2021.

McBride strives for groundbreaking performance

Facing Enriquez is 32-year-old CaySea McBride, who represents Portland, Oregon. McBride also trains in Spokane, Washington, at Sik Jitsu under head coach Rick Little alongside undefeated teammates Melissa “Mamba” Amaya and Juliana Miller.

A lifelong martial artist, McBride began training in Tae Kwon Do at the age of six and currently holds a black belt in Japanese Ju-Jitsu. She will look to secure her first professional victory against one of combat sports’ most decorated champions.

The rest of the March 12 fight card will be announced next week.
