Colorado Rockies Game No. 152 Wire: Ryan Weathers vs. Mccade Brown

The Rockies are still looking for that elusive no. 42 victory with which the White Sox can only keep the title of the worst in modern history (41-121 in 2024) when they enter the Marlins field on Wednesday.

Colorado (41-110) dropped Game One on Tuesday evening 6-5 when a rally after a rain delay just briefly fell when Hunter Goodman stood in line with the equal run on third base. Miami (71-80) stopped the Rockies and held them to two hits by seven innings before the attack finally showed signs of life.

Rain is also possible in the Wednesday evening forecast.

Ryan Weathers (2-1, 2.73 ERA) will make the start for Miami. The 25-year-old Lefty will make his seventh start of the season after having spent the majority of the season on the IL with a left flexor muscle voltage and left Lat voltage. Weathers made his first start in three months on September 11 when he threw five scoreless innings against the Nationals, allowing only five hits while hit four.

Mccade Brown (0-4, 9.88 ERA) makes his fifth start on Wednesday evening. The 25-year-old Righty, who was the Pick of Rockies in 2021, struggled in his young MLB career. After a brutal start where he did not get it out of the second inning after he gave six points against the Padres on 6 September in Coors Field, Brown Buntered back with a better start against the Padres in San Diego on September 11. He gave two points on five hits with two walks and four strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.

First pitch: 18:40 MDT
