Since 2023, Colonial Country Club in Lower Paxton Township has undergone more than $ 1 million in renovations, with projects aimed at modernizing its facilities and improving the general experience.
The most recent updates include new open -air binic space, for completion at the end of this month, and the addition of course maintenance equipment such as a rough mower, greens mower and greens roller earlier this year.
In the past year, the club has expanded its outdoor facilities with new loungers, umbrellas, tables and chairs, as well as private cabanas, a splash path and fire pits. The outdoor land and relaxation room was also upgraded and the bar expanded. A playground with a multiple age and a children’s zone have been added to offer more family -friendly options.
In 2023, the Squires Restaurant and Pub received new furniture, floors and lighting, while the dressing room for men was renovated with a card space and pool table. Other improvements include new roofs and HVAC systems in different parts of the building, including the ballroom.
The 115-year-old club, located on Linglestown Road since 1954, offers golf, tennis, pickleball, swimming and a variety of membership events. Since 2009, owned by the Disanto family via the Triple Crown Corporation, the club has emphasized its dedication to maintain the golf course and to retain the role of real estate as a monument to the community, without redevelopment plans.
The renovations of the colonial come as other clubs in the region make comparable investments. Carlisle Country Club in Middlesex Township recently announced a renovation project of several millions of dollars under its new property.
