Clipse says ‘so be it,’ will be first rappers to perform in the Vatican

Clipse, the rap duo consisting of Pusha T and Malice, are now the very first rappers performing in the Vatican for the Grace for the World Concert.

The hip -hop group played alongside John Legend for the event of September 13. With the singer of the “ordinary people”, the two performed a live rendition of their song “The Birds Don’t Sing” on St. Peter’s Square.

Pusha t announced the expected appearance of the group at the event and shared his own disbelief in the one -off chance.

“This really happens, now literally driving to the airport, because this really happens …” the clipse rapper has posted x.

Co -directed by Pharrell Williams, the global music event was intended to promote peace and equality among the world. Guests in Vatican City could not only witness the free show, but listeners around the world could live the Livestream event.

“This is a rare cultural moment where the world stops and tunes collectively,” said Pharrell prior to the event, according to Complex. “It is a message of unity and grace for all humanity.”

Extra artists were Jennifer Hudson, Karol G and Maestro Andrea Bocelli, who also repeated Pharrell’s statements about the purpose of this uniting concert. The appearance of Clipse received huge praise from both fans and attendees.

The performance of the duo was mainly celebrated by comedian Bill Bur. The strip noticed on the occasion Monday morning Podcast.

“Guy, it was damn incredible, the show they turn on,” said Burr. “Kendrick Lamar came out and did a surprising host, came out and did a whole number. I thought the damn roof would blow away this place. I’m not going to lie to you.”

Clipse continues his monumental year from the release of their fourth studio album, “Let God sort em ouT,‘In July. While marking a considerable pit stop at the Vatican, the two also set off with their accompanying tour.
