Start -tarpers
Hunter Greene
Since Greene has returned from the injured list, he has been very good. In two starts he only allowed two points on six hits with three free runs and 19 strikeouts in 13.1 innings. His most recent start was one of his most dominant of the season when he hit 12 in seven innings against the Mets. If there is something that hurt him this season, it is that his FB% percentage this season is 70.8%, almost five percentage points higher than in previous years. Greene gives more airballs and less ground balls with a speed that exceeds its GB% and FB% percentages in his Rookie season of 2022. This year he was able to mask a little better with a higher strikeout percentage (32.0%).

Luis Severino
Veteran Luis Severino recently returned from the wounded list and came back from an oblique injury that kept him outside the entire month of August. He made two starts in September, so that no points in five innings to the cardinals are back in his first start, but three points on four hits through five innings against the Angels last Sunday. Both starts were on the road; However, Severino has thrown much better on the road than at home. In Sutter Health Park he has an ERA of 6.34 in 13 Starts, with only an ERA of 3.11 on the road.
Left -handed batters have hit Severino better in 2025, but of the 14 home runs he has allowed, eight are against right -handed batters compared to only six against left -handed batters. He has also not spoken many strikers compared to the rest of the competition.

Rhett Lowder threw two innings in his first rehabilitation outing after four months on the injured list of a sloping injury for Triple-a Louisville on Saturday evening.
Losing the Mets again
The Texas Rangers beat the Mets today. That could mean that the Giants take the only possession of the 3rd Wild Card spot when they win tonight. If the Reds win, they are half a game or a full game from the last place, depending on how San Francisco does that.
