Christmas day schedule comes with a brutal message that Wolven Fans should already know

The first schedule of the NBA has recently been announced. While the Minnesota Timberwolves received an ideal and exciting matchup with the Denver Nuggets, it is worth mentioning that all except for two playing on Christmas Day are in the Western Conference. This should serve as a reminder of the obvious: the West is another monster from the east.

Of course Christmas matchups are not the end of everything. However, it is a solid measure for those who are the best and most relevant teams.

The West is considerably better than the east

The New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers are the only Eastern Conference Squads that play at Christmas. Undoubtedly there is a strong thing that these are the only two title candidates in the east. The Orlando Magic can be in the mix, but it is difficult to make a leap of never winning a play -off series as a core for winning a championship. In addition to these three teams, the East is wide open, and it could be said that these are the only East teams that would make the play -offs in the west.

Conversely, the West is full of talent. The Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Wolves and Nuggets are all clear contenders. Although the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors are not clear contenders, their experience gives them a chance of the puncher. Moreover, the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks are compelling play -off squads of the play -offs.

Of the eight west teams that made the Christmas day slate, the Los Angeles Clippers were not included. Just like the Lakers and Warriors, however, they have an enormous experience and at least they are a clear play -off team.

Perhaps the craziest part of all this that the West is loaded as when it has been reported for the clippers, it is probably one of the West teams who play at Christmas does not even make the play -offs. The Mavericks and Spurs are the most obvious candidates. Yet everything can happen in the NBA. In addition to most contenders that come from the West, at least seven (perhaps even nine) of the top 10 players of the competition live in the West.

The West is better than the east is not exactly a revolutionary concept. With Jayson Tatum and Tyrese Haliburton, however, sidelined with injuries, inequality has never been so important. Since he permanently expanded to the five-game Christmas sleeve in 2008, no conference has represented fewer than three teams.

With the star power of Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle, a well-completed supporting cast and their playoff experience, the Wolves cannot be postponed as title candidates. Anyway, the path of the wolves to reach their first finals in franchise history or even return to their third consecutive conference final is a challenge.
