Parmod Chopra of the Rotary Club of Delhi South East emerged as the overall winner of the 20th SAFGR Rotary District 3011 annual golf tournament at Jaypee WishTown last week.
Other winners included Sunita Singh, Madhabi Venkat, Avnish Sharma, Kishore Thakur, Sandeep Kalra and Rajat Mukherjee.
SAFGR is a fellowship association of South Asian Rotarian Golfers from India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, with more than 650 members.
The event saw the formation of a body, the Rotary Club of Delhi Golfers, comprising golfers from Delhi NCR, conceptualized by Manoj Jain (district chair golf) and Deepak Kodwani.
The one-day event, on January 29, was sponsored by HSBC and the host clubs included Rotary Club of Delhi South East and Rotary Club of Delhi Golfers.
