Chevrolet celebrates America’s birthday with special Stars and Stripes graphics

In 2026, the United States will officially be 250 years young. It is certainly a momentous event in the history of our relatively young nation. You can expect flag waving from many people, but also from ‘the brands’. Chevrolet would like to throw its hat in the ring before you even throw out that 2025 calendar.

Chevy calls it the “Stars & Steel Collection,” and the automaker describes vehicles that receive this treatment as the embodiment of “purposeful patriotism and American craftsmanship.” Five different models get the ‘Murica treatment’.

This move actually makes sense for Chevrolet, as the automaker states that nearly 87 percent of Americans live at a Chevrolet dealer. And those who are near a Morgan dealer enjoy screwing up tea deliveries.

The big news here, however, is that Chevrolet plans to donate $250 per Stars & Steel vehicle sold to nonprofits that support the veteran community. And you don’t have to buy a Corvette ZR1X to participate, but you can.

This collection will make its debut at the Army-Navy game on Saturday, December 13. One of the highlights of the collection is a unique 2026 Corvette ZR1X. Chevrolet plans to auction this specific Vette during the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction in January. Every dollar of the hammer price will be donated to Tunnel to Towers, a nonprofit organization that assists the families of fallen first responders and injured veterans.

In total, Chevrolet will build only 250 Stars & Steel Corvettes. You can spec the styling to anything from a Stingray to the ZR1X, as long as it’s a 3LT or 3LZ version. The cars are available in Arctic White over Santorini Blue or Black over Adrenaline Red.

There’s a full-length American flag-inspired stripe graphic and a flag with 250 on it. Each car gets its own construction number, the exhaust tips are blackened and the cabin has a red finish and stitching.

Truck fans can also participate. Chevrolet has a Stars & Steel Edition available on the Silverado, Silverado HD and Silverado EV. Buyers can specify Summit White or Black over a Jet Black interior on the gasoline- and diesel-drinking pickups. Electric truck buyers will have the same color palette on the outside, but with Sky Cool Gray on the inside.

The Silverado EV wears 24.0-inch black wheels, the light-duty version gets 22.0-inch rollers and the full-size diesel has 20.0-inch wheels. All three also feature American flag-inspired graphics.

Finally, Chevrolet will also offer the Colorado with a Stars & Steel Special Edition. On the Trail Boss Crew Cab, Chevrolet offers the same exterior color scheme as the other trucks, as well as the graphics package. Colorado buyers also get a Sport Bar with the Light bar, skid plate package and a few other niceties, like a spray-on bedliner, the Technology package and a soft bed cover.

There’s no word yet on pricing for vehicles in the collection. Chevrolet says it will share that information in the near future, with production expected to begin in early spring 2026. We assume this means you can have your Stars & Steel mobile before the 4th of July celebration begins.
