Chelsea are preparing a formal offer to sign versatile forward Ferran Torres from Barcelona Transfers.

Despite making obvious misses from time to time, the 25-year-old has been one of Barcelona’s most reliable players since arriving from Manchester City in January 2022.

After four goals and four assists in his first season, the Spaniard rose quickly and scored seven goals in the following season. Eleven goals and four assists soon followed in the 2023-2024 season. He also enjoyed blistering form in all competitions last season, netting 26 goals (19 goals, 7 assists) as Hansi Flick’s side won the domestic treble.

The versatile forward is now on course for his most prolific goalscoring campaign for the Blaugrana, having scored 15 goals so far with almost 20 games remaining this season.

That goal-scoring form has not only impressed the manager, but also other clubs such as Chelsea, who are finally looking for a productive centre-forward capable of consistently hitting double figures.

This is according to Transferswhich claims Chelsea are looking to continue their attacking rebuild and have their sights set on Torres to complement the likes of Cole Palmer and Willian Estevao.
