Plainville, MA — The $15,000 recommended pace at Plainridge Park on Monday afternoon (November 24) went to Checkpoint Chatter (Always a virgin), who turned an overland route into her sixth harness racing victory of the season.
Checkpoint Chatter (Jim Hardy) came away fourth as Beantown Ace (Nick Graffam) came into the half in :55.1. But at that station Hardy was already rolling with Checkpoint Chatter, who, although three-quarters of the way into second place, was still four lengths behind Beantown Ace. As the race rounded the final corner, Beantown Ace lost ground and entered the stretch with only a two-length lead. And as they headed home, Checkpoint Chatter continued to gain ground, eventually leading by a length at the traffic light in 1:53.
