RACE 1

7. Orient	Tough outings in the last few, but was willing enough in both; a clean trip would go a long way to helping the cause
6. Happy son	Just missed in the last pair vs similar
2. Jungle Boogie	Flashing lights go out after a few mediocre attempts; beat the last favorite but should compete against this one on the best and with only six starts so far, it still has advantages

RACE 2

4. Box office	Trainer Farrior wins locally almost 50% of the time when he moves horses from benefits to lower claim ranks; that race produced two subsequent winners, plus winner Falcon Blue, who won here on Wednesday
2. Elections	Made a long run to the lead the other day before trip-sitting rival caught him late; hopes to gain some ground tonight after the last long trip
6. Align	Possibly the early foot can be used to better effect than last time when it was buried inside

RACE 3

2. Accelerate well	It looked to be done with fifteen minutes to go, but found even more to regain second place, beating two rivals who are here, including the favorite Wynsome Cat in the morning line
4. Miss Dripping	Should only be out as speed of the speed, and although she has been favorite of late, the winner would have run competitively at this level
5. Wynsome cat	Finished behind top pick two back but smartly rallied for second behind the 1-5 favorite last out

RACE 4

2. Grandpa Joe	Has kept better company most of the time and continues to make decent attempts
7. Roar	Have a nice trip as the last of the leading duo; The troubled show horse came back to win
1. Heart of gold	Shifts to the Shanley shed for third off the bench

RACE 5

4. You think that’s funny	The pace should be lively and contested, allowing him to make the most of his late kick; slow at first, but galloped ahead of the winner
9. Honeyquist	Remains in sharp form and will be part of the early battle; no Duncan Idaho tonight is good news
6. The witch has disappeared	Defeated his rivals last with great effort; makes third start from the bench

RACE 6

2. Please, thank you	Suffered first defeat in the Dash for Cash after finishing chasing the ultra-fast Honeyquist, but there’s no one with such an early foot in this one; with just four starts to his name, still plenty of upside
5. Pork Chop Piet	Ensures that leading rider Bocachica gets back into the irons for the third start from the bench, after a slightly restless ride recently
4. John’s idea	Versatile type had no answers in the Russell Road and probably isn’t good enough to take on the top pair, but could get a piece

RACE 7– Randy Funkhouser Memorial Inset

9. Learn the release	How does this man get defeated here? Perhaps if one or two rivals go on a suicide mission to take him out of the lead; otherwise it looks much the best and additionally controls the speed
6. Never pop the cork	The three-turn specialist wasn’t a threat in the Sam Huff WVBC, but may see a livelier pace today
8. Lord of Cork	I tried this event two years ago but was tired after getting to the front; Now looking more like a mid-pack type, he could benefit from the presence of trainer Bail Is Denied, who could provide pace pressure

RACE 8

5. Red candy apple	Easily won last to improve to 2-for-2 at CT and has plenty of early foot
1. Gold fiber	Chased the first choice two back in vain but eventually returned with a sharp score
3. Trainer please	Trainer Joy is 15% after trainer change; makes a second start from the bench
