Bayern Munich is really not bothered, fair.
Florian Wirtz and Nick Woltemade denied the signing sessions this summer, two players they desperately had to bring to Bayern Munich.
As the dominant team in Germany, winning the Bundesliga season after season, the ruling champions who believe they have the right to sign any talent from home is coming through another German club.
Bayern Munich loses this summer to Newcastle United and Liverpool on their goals.
Nick Woltemade and Florian Wirtz play in the Premier League instead of the Bundesliga.
A seemingly never -ending queue of prominent figures from Bayern Munich who stand in line to cry about Liverpool and especially Newcastle United, who comes in to buy these young German stars instead of leaning back and having Bayern Munich have a free run.
Liverpool who is committed to a £ 116 million (£ 100 million plus potential £ 15 million more in future add-ons) Deal for Wirtz, while for Woltemade, Newcastle United, which is a £ 69.3 million (£ 65 million plus another £ 4.3 million).
Life is just not fair.
The newest major Bayern Munich figure to pronounce, according to Ulli Hooksess and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, is Jan-Christian Dreesen.
De Bayern Munich -CEO Talk Child About competing for new signing sessions – October 4, 2025:
“We can afford every signature we want.
“FC Bayern is doing very well [financially].
“But we want to be able to pay a player without having to run to the bank.
“That is not the DNA of FC Bayern.
“The lower team in the English competition, for € 125 million (£ 109 million), has € 60 million more in media income than we do.
“Liverpool has € 200 million (£ 175 million), while FC Barcelona and Real Madrid each have € 160 million (£ 139 million).”
No club wants to pay more money than is necessary, but just like something else in life, is the value of something that someone is willing to pay for it. Whether that is a car, house … or football player.
What the CEO of Bayern Munich refers to here is the amount paid to clubs for the 2024/25 season, because of their competition plate and other domestic TV, money from the number of Premier League matches of a club that are shown live, and so on.
As Jan-Christian Dreesen refers, Liverpool received £ 174.9 million (€ 200 million) from the Premier League payments after completing the top of the table. While Southampton ended the soil, but still brought £ 109.2 million (€ 125 million).
The Bundesliga payment to Bayern Munich after completing the top last season, only € 65 million (£ 56 million), while in La Liga the payment was £ 139 million (€ 160 million) for each of Barcelona and Real Madrid.
In La Liga, half of the money is equally distributed between all clubs in the top layer. However, the other 50% is not. It is built in such a way that as much as possible goes to Barcelona and Real Madrid.
With 25% allocated on the basis of ‘club popularity and commercial impact’, while the last 25% depends on the competition position, with the massive weighing in the top spots. That is where you always find Real Madrid and Barcelona.
In the past 21 seasons, in 18 of them, Real Madrid are the first or second, the other three seasons in third position.
The last 22 seasons, in 20 of them, Barcelona has finished the first or secondly the other two seasons in third place.
It is funny to hear the Bayern Munich -Cakeo brag about the financial power of the club. When you consider that the vast majority of money they have is not due to MatchDay income or payouts of TV deals based on how they do in their domestic competition and the Champions League.
Bayern Munich are financed by huge amounts of sponsor money and other commercial deals that pay for the signing sessions they make. Such as when they paid £ 100 million for a 30 -year -old Harry Kane and offered him enormous wages.
The Deloitte 2025 Rich List of Clubs in the world, Bayern Munich showed the fifth highest in terms of turnover in the 2023/24 season.
A total of € 765 million (£ 666 million), with that demolition of MatchDay income € 131 million (£ 114 million), broadcast of € 213 million (£ 185 million) and commercially € 421 million (£ 367 million).
The truth is that Bayern Munich have massive financial power to compete with clubs in other competitions, simply because of companies that hand over huge amounts of money (most of German companies).
This extraordinary financing of sponsors/commercial also makes it almost impossible for all other German clubs to challenge them.
No wonder no one wants to watch German inland football on TV, especially when it comes to football fans around the world. When Bayern Munich wins the season after season, 12 Bundesliga titles in the last 13 years.
Compare that until the last 13 Premier League seasons, five different clubs have won the league title during this period.
