NEW YORK (AP) – Cardi B is pregnant with her fourth child. It will be her first with friend Stefon Diggs, the broad recipient of the New England Patriots.
The Grammy Award-winning rapper unveiled the news on Wednesday in an interview with Gayle King on ‘CBS Mornings’.
“I am excited. I’m happy,” she told King. “I feel that I am in a good space. I feel very strong. I feel very powerful that I am doing all this work. But I do all this work while making a baby, me and my husband, we support each other very much.”
She added that she and Diggs are in similar positions because they are both ambitious and one of the “biggest” in their respective areas.
Cardi B also said that Diggs gives her safe. “I mean, like two weeks ago I was literally a panic attack. I cried and cried and cried, just because I just got nervous with you, the rollout of the album,” she said, referring to her upcoming second -year album, “Am I the Drama?”, Friday. “People came up with me very hard. You know, sometimes people love you, people hate you. And people just said very nasty things about me.
“He gives me a very confident feeling,” she added. “Feeling safe is confident.”
Cardi B has three children from her previous marriage to the rapper Offset: daughters Blossom, 1, and Kulture, 7, and Son Wave, 4. Diggs also has a daughter from an earlier relationship, Nova, who was born in 2016.
In 2024, Cardi B announced that she requested a separation of offset.
They were secretly married in Atlanta in September 2017. They only announced their engagement a month later. In 2020, Cardi B presented a separation from offset, and claimed that their marriage was ‘irreparably broken’.
Representatives of Cardi B and Diggs did not immediately respond to the request of the Associated Press for comments.
