Canadian Marino leads group of 32 qualifications at US Open – and the drawers are cruel – open court

Flushing Meadows, New York-De Last qualifying day at a Grand Slam has been deducted on the best day of the tournament.

Dreams come from, hearts broken, ambitions stumbled. The level of intensity in the competitions is hard to match. And even those who do not come to the thread or concern large comebacks are broken.

And so, a day late because of the nearby Wednesday on Wednesday, the 16 men and 16 women who will make the main drawing were some happy losers-stedbin.

Of the 16 men, 13 will make their US open debut. Of the 16 women, only seven.

And of course the drawers have decided that qualifying Rebecca Marino will meet … her landwoman, Leylah Fernandez, in the first round.
