Caleb Heil was in the net before the US while Joshua Ravensbergen was in the net in front of Canada. The game started tightly as expected, but Canada got the leap on the Power Play and the United States had to find a way back. Canada added their lead in the second period, and the United States had a hill to climb in the third, to which Canada was added early. US thought it was a way to dig and fight back, but Canada eventually withdrew With a 6-2 victory.

Summary

It was a tight, with actions filled first period as was expected between these two teams, and as was the case the whole day, it cost a Power Play to start the score. Canada’s Marek Vanacker scored on the Power Play to set his team 1-0. He was assisted by Brady Martin and Cole Reeschy. Both teams came close for the rest of the period, but that was the only goal, and Canada was in charge in the second.

The middle period started the same as the first, with a back and forth end-to-end battle, and the tension rose with every second that passed. With just over six and a half minutes over, Canada scored to bring the score to 2-0. The goal was scored by Malcom Spence and he was assisted by Jake O’Brien and Ben Kindel. Just like the first period, it was the only scored goal, and Canada took a 2-0 lead in the third.

Just when the US came close, Canada scored an empty net goal to bring 4-2. The goal was scored by Michael Hage, with the assists on Sacha Boisvert and Reeschy. Another empty net goal followed on Canada, and it was scored by Michael Misa, un supported, to bring the score to 5-2. Then Jake O’Brien scored for Canada to bring the score to 6-2. He was assisted by Vanacker, and that was the ultimate goal of the goal when Canada won the victory.

This was the last game for the World Junior Summer Showcase and a great way to complete a successful week of exercises and games for all teams. Although some did not get the results they wanted, they were just exhibition games, and everyone was shown the talent they could choose to come from December.

There will be team camps that will start in December with the Junior World Championship that takes place from December 26 to January 5 with competitions in both the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota and Marriuci Arena on the campus of the University of Minnesota in Minnesota in Minnesota, Minnesota. It will be interesting to see what these teams look like in December and who takes gold home.
