We are about to enter the dog days of the NBAs offsean – and if you thought the collection around all teams, including the Phoenix Suns so far, were nothing. The competition is about to stand still until the training camps open, that is when unfounded speculation is at a record high.
We have already submitted the case why the Suns should avoid an improvement in the short term, such as when the opportunity occurs – and it will be next season – and boy did your fans That doesn’t appreciate that at all. However, there can be a happy midfield and it comes in the form of a former All-Star who could be looking for a new house.
Suns that add Khris Middleton for next season is very logical.
The potential of the 33-year-old Middleton was a non-starter for Phoenix, until the tweet below served that Arizona Sport John Gambadoro Quickly invalidated. Again, it is worth remembering that we have hit the point in the summer where everything goes, and that Gambadoro is an insider that has had movements that the franchise has and has not done well this season.
No, I don’t expect the Suns to be considering adding Khris Middleton https://t.co/q4esf6fftn

But even if it probably doesn’t seem like – regardless of that tweet – there are two clear reasons why the Suns should actually be completely for it. The first is that Middleton starts the last year of his current contract. Phoenix was able to exchange boys for deals in the longer term – such as Grayson Allen and Royce O’Neale – and then let the middle of the following summer talk.
This would create more cap -space to work with then, made even better by the fact that the suns are no longer in the first or second apron. If they could throw away a few veterans who are two more seasons in the books after this – and the organization tries to become younger during this Holtool – Middleton for a season makes sense.
That is why he is still worth considering, even when he is bought out by the Washington Wizards. In that case he would be available for a fraction of the prize – and although the Suns would still have other players in their books – Middleton would be an excellent experienced leader for the Rookies next to Devin Booker.
At this point he is unable to play a full season, but he would be as much useful for in the dressing room as something else. This is different from the trade for another beyond their Prime star, because that will only bring the Suns back to the previous terrible position they have tried to escape. However, with Middleton it is different, therefore, if it is actually available, the Suns must pick up the phone.
