Although a growing trend on the PGA tour has been a movement in the direction of Fairway forests with high high with high high fieriest on the top of the bag, Callaway knows that there are also alternatives.
With the new APEX Utility series from the company, Callaway offers three new options that can end in that sometimes tricky-to-fit second, third or fourth longest club in your bag.
And of the three options, the third generation of the popular Apex Utility Wood will certainly attract the attention of gear beacon.
All three options, including the new Apex Ti Super Hybrid and Apex UT, are designed for players looking for a versatile secondary tee option at the top of their bags. But each of the new clubs is designed to achieve a different goal.
Keep reading below for more information about all three clubs, for who they are and my thoughts about this new release.
What are the clubs in the Apex Utility series?
The new Apex Utility series from Callaway consists of three new, distinctive clubs.
2025 Apex Utility Wood
Jack Hirsh/Golf
The highlight of this release for Gearheads will be the third generation of the Apex your. The original UW, released in 2021, is still in the bag of many PGA Tour professionals, including Xander Schauffele and occasionally Sam Burns. That next was also not only limited to the Tour.
With the latest release, Callaway went back to the original formation that the first generation made you so versatile.
“That was based on feedback from the tour players. It was based on market feedback. This is an interesting one because there is a kind of people who play it. It is the one who never comes out of the bag,” Senior Product Manager of Callaway, Zack Oakley, told Golf. “And then you start looking at some of the nuances and much of it comes down to forms.”
There is also some new technology, including a new tungsten speed wave and stepsole design of the Elyte Fairway Woods. The tungsten speed wave replaces the mogged weight port of the original version and places mass low and forward to promote high speeds and launch.
Just like the previous versions, the UW also remains a bound hosel product, which limits most loft and lie adjustments to most consumers, but actually makes more adjustment on tour where they can bend it.
2025 APEX TI Super Hybrid
;)
Jack Hirsh/Golf
Now that the Super Hybrid now comes under the APEX brand, the newest model takes the Ti Fusion irons from Callaway by taking a titanium face and combining it with a steel body.
“Which enables us to have a really lightweight face and then have a more stable body, which is great for generating bullet rate,” Oakley said.
The TI Super Hybrid also contains a step sole to improve the interaction of the turf and a deeper face to improve off-the-tee performance.
APEX UT
;)
Jack Hirsh/Golf
The third option is the Apex Ut, the hollow rhythm iron platform of the company.
The new UT has new flexcore technology, which is part of a six-member construction so that the face can bend more on low strikes, maintaining the bullet speed and spider.
A classic iron shape helps the UT combination with Callaway irons sets such as the APEX AI150 or similar profiles and is offered in 2-iron lofts (18˚) to 5-iron (24˚).
Who are these clubs for?
Because these are three different clubs, they serve three different golfers.
The Apex your is aimed at the high-level player that does not fit well in traditional fairway forests with a high high-high, but also does not like hybrids and fears a left miss with them. The Low-Forward CG of yours should help produce a neutral ball flight predecessor and the versatile form will help to excel about fairway forests of the same loft.
A UW player can also be a golf player with a higher handicap that is struggling with the length of longer fairway forests and A can benefit from the ultra forgiving sole and shape.
Likewise the Ten Super Hybrid Is the Fairway wood replacement for the golfer with a higher handicap, which has a steep perspective and needs the bullet speeds that a titanium face can offer.
Finally the APEX UT is another elite player club, designed for precision of the tee and a low penetrating ball flight.
My thoughts
Just like bringing the X -expanded ironing irons earlier this summer, Callaway is once again listening to players and market feedback by returning to the formation that the Apex made your a cult favorite.

Jack Hirsh/Golf and Jonathan Wall
Some players have kept that original version in the bag for years without signs of replacing, but now there might be a worthy successor.
The UW is a unique club that has really carved a niche in the market as an option for players who do not like hybrids for fear of a left -wing Miss, but need the versatility for both off the tee and further play.
The TI Super Hybrid also occupies this space, but on the other side of the player spectrum for golfers who don’t like fairway woods, but need a secondary option of the T -shirt.
My 70-year-old and still one-digit disability is struggling with a steep perspective, making hybrids a more attractive option for him, but with his speed he really needs the large size and forgiveness of Fairway Woods. The UW or Super Hybrid (or both) can be great options for such a player.
For me as a high -speed player I am also very enthusiastic to test more with yours to see how it performs next to my existing hybrid, which I have to put on the toe of the toe to avoid the left miss.
Finally, the new UT offers a great option for players who are looking for a row of iron that will not make balloon in strong wind and a great addition to the bag for travel to the UK.
