Cadillac has announced that it will launch its first Formula 1 livery during the 2026 Super Bowl.
The General Motors and TWG Motorsports team will have taken part in the first official session in Barcelona at the end of January, as all the teams take apart new cars ahead of pre-season testing in Bahrain. To unveil the first livery for the team, Cadillac has purchased a commercial during the NFL’s Super Bowl on February 8, showing it to a potential audience of more than 100 million viewers.
“The Super Bowl is one of the rare moments in American culture where sports, entertainment and storytelling come together, and it gives us the opportunity to introduce the Cadillac Formula 1 Team on a stage that reflects who we are,” said Dan Towriss, CEO of Cadillac F1. “We are proud of our American heritage and we want to show up in a way that is bold, innovative and distinctly our own. This is just the beginning, but it is a moment I am incredibly proud of.”
Cadillac is the fifth team to confirm when it will launch its 2026 identity, with Red Bull and Racing Bulls teaming up with Ford in Michigan on January 15, followed by Alpine in Barcelona on January 23 and Aston Martin on February 9.
Discussions are still ongoing, but teams will likely be allowed to use their 2026 colors during the shakedown in Barcelona if they have already launched the color scheme, while those who have not yet done so will run in one-off designs for the five days in Spain.
