The opening ceremony of the Ryder Cup is always one of the highlights of the biennial competition. It is a time when both teams make an entrance – as well as their partners – dressed to impress. We hear speeches from the captains and the match-ups are announced for the first day of play.
This year, however, played a little differently. The opening ceremony was raised for a day to prevent potential thunderstorms on Thursday. So while the splendor of the event remained intact, the announcement of the match-ups will wait until Thursday, the day before the start of the competition.
The atmosphere in Bethpage Black in New York was festive on Wednesday, and the American team looked great in Ralph Lauren from Head-to-Teen, which delivers the wardrobe of the American team for the seventh consecutive time.
