As the trade deadline approaches, the Brooklyn Nets are drawing interest from around the league for forward Michael Porter Jr.

While it remains unclear whether Brooklyn will fully commit to moving him, his strong play this season has noticeably increased his market value, shifting it from a negative perception to something much closer to neutral – or even positive.

Several teams are believed to be monitoring Porter’s availability, including the Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors and Milwaukee Bucks.

Milwaukee continues to look for ways to improve its roster around Giannis Antetokounmpo, while Golden State could consider Porter a fit if it decides to move Jonathan Kuminga, whose contract would help balance a potential deal.

Detroit, meanwhile, is widely expected to pursue additional scoring options, and Chicago has also previously expressed interest in Porter dating back to his time with Denver.

Porter has been Brooklyn’s top offensive option this season, posting career-best numbers across the board.

He is averaging 25.8 points per game while shooting efficiently at 49 percent from the field, 41 percent from three and 81 percent from the free throw line.

He has also contributed 7.5 rebounds per game, another personal high, while staying steady on the floor.

Durability and contract value have long determined how teams evaluate Porter, but he has largely stayed healthy over the past three seasons.

Financially, he makes $38.3 million this year and is owed $40.8 million for one additional season, factors that teams will weigh carefully as trade talks continue to evolve.
