Orlando, Fla.-de Orlando Solar Bears, Echl branch of the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League, have signed defender Logan Britt for a contract for the 2025-26 season.
Britt, 26, starts his second full professional season after he appeared in 49 games last year for the Reading Royals and 12 points (3G-9a). His ECHL playing rights were obtained by the Sun Boers of the Royals in the future Considerations Deadline to complete the trade for defender Robbie Stucker on November 3, 2024.
Britt originally signed at the Greenville Swamp Rabbits after the conclusion of his collegial career at the University of North Dakota during the 2023-24 season and appeared that season in four games in the regular season and five Kelly Cup-Playoff matches.
Prior to his professional career, Britt played five seasons of college hockey at the University of North Dakota (2023-24), Sacred Heart University (2021-23) and Qunnipiac University (2019-21). The Crystal Lake, resident of Illinois, was named AHA Second Team All-Conference after the 2021-22 campaign and was part of two collegial regular seasonal championships with North Dakota (NCHC) and Quinnipiac (ECAC). Britt also won the Clark Cup Championship 2019 in his time in the United States Hockey League with the Sioux Falls Stampede.
