Derby County make the trip to Sheffield Wednesday on Monday evening as they look to return to winning ways after a dry spell of form.
Derby County has had a very mixed season. After a very poor start from DCFC, a run of six wins from seven games had taken them towards the play-offs, but they are now winless in three games.
Form has taken another turn for John Eustace’s side, coinciding with Carlton Morris’ injury. The summer signing looked his best at Derby and is a big miss for Eustace.
DCFC ended a series of two consecutive defeats in midweek. The Rams drew against 4th-placed Millwall as an own goal from both sides in the final 10 minutes saw the match finish 1–1.
Their opponent Sheffield Wednesday is at the bottom of the championship with -9 points. The Owls went into administration in October and have won just one game so far this season.
Team news from Derby County
As reported by Derbyshire LiveMax Johnston and Lewis Travis are closing in on a return for Derby County, although David Ozoh is still some way off. Johnston and Travis are recovering from hamstring and calf problems respectively and are both back to work on the grass.
Neither has yet fully participated in training, but both are expected back later this month ahead of the busy Christmas period. Ozoh, meanwhile, is still weeks away as he continues to recover from a thigh injury suffered during the win at Blackburn.
Ahead of the game against Sheffield Wednesday, John Eustace confirmed that it is likely to be three to four weeks before Ozoh returns. He added that Travis is away for about a week, while Johnston is also close, with an expected return within 10 days.
Rhian Brewster made his return from injury in midweek against Millwall. He acted as a substitute in the second half, replacing Andreas Weimann
Morris is still sidelined with an ankle injury and won’t be back until February. Owen Beck has already returned to Liverpool after surgery on a hamstring problem.

Predicted XI
(3-4-3)
Zetterstrom; Langas, Sanderson, Clarke; Ward, Thompson, Clark, elder; Brereton Diaz, Agyemang, Brewster
Only one change from the draw against Millwall for DCFC. Eustace brings Brewster into the starting line-up after his return from injury.
Weimann drops to the bench to make room for the returning Brewster. Ben Brereton Diaz and Patrick Agyemang round out Derby County’s attack.
Liam Thompson and Bobby Clark remain the midfield duo after impressing in midweek. Ebou Adam therefore remains on the bench for Eustace’s side.
