Prior to yesterday’s 3-2 victory on the Mets, the Brewers placed right-handed Logan Henderson On the 15-day wounded list with what was initially mentioned as elbow inflammation. Manager Pat Murphy revealed to reporters (including Mlb.com’s Adam McCalvy) Postgame that an MRI indicated that Henderson has to do with the right flexor voltage. A Rehab timeline is not yet known, but it is at least a good sign that the Rookie world has avoided structural damage.
Henderson was planned to start today’s game, but Tobias Myers Will now take the ball for his first start since May 17. Milwaukee called Myers van Triple-a Nashville in the corresponding move for the IL placement of Henderson. Expand Shelby Miller (Acquired of the Diamondbacks at the Handelsdeadline) was also activated from the 15-day IL, with right-handed Easton McGee Get acted to Triple-A on Thursday to open the schedule space before Miller’s recovery.
It was only a week ago that Henderson himself was recalled from Triple-A as an injury replacement, which took over it Jacob MisiorowskiThe rotation place after Misiorowski was put aside by a left shin contusion. Since that injury was not considered too serious, it is possible that Misiorowski can be activated from the 15-day IL when he is eligible for the first time on 15 August. The rotation of Milwaukee was crushed by injuries in the first few weeks of the season, which opened the door for Henderson to make his Major League debut on April 20. This of course assumes that Henderson is able to recover well from this flexor voltage. Even a relatively small trunk will certainly result in more than 15 days on the IL, just from natural precautions about arm -related injuries. It is probably safe to rule Henderson for the rest of August, and his availability for the rest of the regular season (and the play -offs) may be jeopardized. As noted by McCalvy, Henderson’s injury history includes an operation to repair a broken elbow that limited him to 13 2/3 innings during the Minor League season 2022.
