Brewers post Logan Henderson on 15-day IL due to Flexor Tension

Prior to yesterday’s 3-2 victory on the Mets, the Brewers placed right-handed Logan Henderson On the 15-day wounded list with what was initially mentioned as elbow inflammation. Manager Pat Murphy revealed to reporters (including Mlb.com’s Adam McCalvy) Postgame that an MRI indicated that Henderson has to do with the right flexor voltage. A Rehab timeline is not yet known, but it is at least a good sign that the Rookie world has avoided structural damage.

Henderson was planned to start today’s game, but Tobias Myers Will now take the ball for his first start since May 17. Milwaukee called Myers van Triple-a Nashville in the corresponding move for the IL placement of Henderson. Expand Shelby Miller (Acquired of the Diamondbacks at the Handelsdeadline) was also activated from the 15-day IL, with right-handed Easton McGee Get acted to Triple-A on Thursday to open the schedule space before Miller’s recovery.

It was only a week ago that Henderson himself was recalled from Triple-A as an injury replacement, which took over it Jacob MisiorowskiThe rotation place after Misiorowski was put aside by a left shin contusion. Since that injury was not considered too serious, it is possible that Misiorowski can be activated from the 15-day IL when he is eligible for the first time on 15 August. Since the Brew crew has an off-day on Thursday, Myers may simply be needed for one turn in the rotation if everything goes well with the recovery of Misiorowski.

The rotation of Milwaukee was crushed by injuries in the first few weeks of the season, which opened the door for Henderson to make his Major League debut on April 20. After that outing, he was returned to Nashville, called back for three more starts in May, then sent again until his return to the Big Leagues last week.

It is proof of the pitching depth of the Brewers that Henderson has been a spare part, although he has a 1.78 ERA, 33.3% strikeout percentage and a running speed of 8.1% over his first 25 1/3 innings in the show. His 3.12 Siera is only a little less impressive and Henderson has benefited from the large out of a beach frequency of 96.2% and a favorable .255 Babip. This happiness of the Slagbleek is remarkable because Henderson only has a grounder percentage of 22.8%, but opposing batters make only 33.2% of the time of Righty’s offer.

Between these figures in the Majors and an ERA of 3.59 over 77 2/3 Triple-A-Frames there has been a lot about the 2025 season of Henderson. A fourth round pick for the Brewers in the 2021 design, Henderson has put itself nicely in line to be a large part of the club’s rotation plans in the future, probably as soon as 2026. Brandon Woodruff And Jose Quintana This winter it is expected to become free agents as soon as their mutual options have been rejected, so that a few holes are filled with the pitching staff.

This of course assumes that Henderson is able to recover well from this flexor voltage. Even a relatively small trunk will certainly result in more than 15 days on the IL, just from natural precautions about arm -related injuries. It is probably safe to rule Henderson for the rest of August, and his availability for the rest of the regular season (and the play -offs) may be jeopardized. As noted by McCalvy, Henderson’s injury history includes an operation to repair a broken elbow that limited him to 13 2/3 innings during the Minor League season 2022.
