Brendan Rodgers addressed the contract situation of Celtic Star Daizzen Maeda – because he was forced to laugh a bewildering fantation theory.
De Hoops manager hoped to bind the Japanese frontman to a new contract in Parkhead, despite his current deal until 2027.
Rodgers wanted to reward Maeda for his incredible form last season, where he scored 33 goals from 51 performances in all competitions. He also walked into 12 assists at the time when he switched from left to the middle during the bare spell of Adam Idah.
