Blackburn Rovers return to Ewood Park in midweek to be confronted with Swansea City, with both parties looking for winning ways.
Blackburn Rovers were beaten 3-0 on Saturday by Charlton Athletic. It was a very poor version of BRFC, in which their only efforts on the target were a speculative strike after the half hour and a 90th minute shot straight in the middle.
That result marked their fifth loss of the season and the second time in three games that they just couldn’t find it.
Rovers may have already protected their third competition victory if their collision with Ipswich Town has not been left. The side of Valerian Ismael led 1-0 in the 80th minute, against 10 men because of the red card of Jacob Greaves, when the game was stopped.

Scott Wharton is the man who comes out for McLoughlin. Wharton had taken the place of the Irish defender in the side after a shipping earlier this season.
The other change is that Tavares returns to replace Taylor Gardner-Hickman. This will probably give Rovers a little more balance in the side with two natural central midfielders.
