BREAKING: Stan Wawrinka sets 2026 as his farewell tour

Stan Wawrinka has revealed that 2026 will be his last season on the ATP Tour.

So the news marks the beginning of the end for a tennis match; most resilient and quietly iconic careers.

The Swiss made his professional debut in October 2001. Twenty-five years later, he might still be playing the indoor swing in the final chapters of his incredible tennis journey.

Stan’s announcement carries the weight of reflection, built around two defining words that have shaped his career: passion and dream! Long before the big trophies, there was a young boy in Lausanne who held a racket with fierce determination.

His one-handed backhand will become one of the most iconic strokes of modern tennis, while his excellent runs at Majors between 2014 and 2016 are already in the history books.

Wawrinka will likely leave tennis with 16 ATP trophies and almost 600 ATP wins under his belt. He achieved this in an era ruled by giants, toppling them all on his way to tennis immortality.
