The new Rafa Nadal Tennis Center will be located in Porto Belo, Santa Catarina State, and will offer world-class sports facilities with 17 tennis courts (9 outdoor, 7 indoor and one center court), with both clay (6) and fast court (11) surfaces. In addition, there will be 8 padel courts, a café, a sports equipment store and an exclusive fitness room for players and visitors.
The new center, expected to open in late 2028, will offer tennis programs for players of all ages and levels, based on the methodology developed by Rafa Nadal and his coaching team during his more than two decades on the professional tour.
The new complex will be part of the ambitious All Resort Resort Club Residence project, developed by the All Wert Group. The newly built residential and hotel resort will become one of the country’s most innovative leisure and sports destinations. In addition to the Rafa Nadal Tennis Center, it will have a floodlit golf course, an artificial beach with wave pool, football fields, three hotels and more than 12,000 inhabitants.
Rafa Nadal spoke of his enthusiasm for the new project: “We are so happy that the academy’s international expansion is reaching South America. Brazil has a huge passion for sports and I am sure the project will be a success.”
For Richard Schwambach, CEO of All Wert Group, the launch of the Rafa Nadal Tennis Center in Brazil marks a new chapter for the development of tennis in the country. “At All Resort, sports are an essential part of our identity because they represent movement, discipline and perseverance – and they are a cultural practice that reflects values, identity and energy,”
The Rafa Nadal Tennis Center in Porto Belo is in a context of continued growth of tennis in Brazil in recent years, with an estimated 6% annual growth in participation. This growth is reinforced by the Brazilian Tennis Development Program, an initiative of the Brazilian Tennis Confederation, and by the fact that Santa Catarina has established itself as one of the areas of the country with the most tennis players, after Sao Paulo.
The Rafa Nadal Tennis Centers have been conceived as a division to complement Movistar’s Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca. They are tennis complexes located in first-class holiday and residential resorts that combine leisure, tourism and world-class sports coaching.
The Porto Belo complex will be part of the network of international RNA centers, which now includes two academies (Manacor and Kuwait), five Rafa Nadal Tennis Centers in Costa Mujeres (Mexico), Sani (Greece), Hong Kong, Marbella and Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), together with the Rafa Nadal Tennis program created in Egypt.
