Brady Singer started the game through the side. But in the 2nd inning he was in some problems such as two singles and a walk with one from the bases for Atlanta. Singer was able to enclose and get a strikeout and a fly to Noelvi Marte in the right field to start everyone and keep the game scoreless.

From there it was a master class of singer when he gave only two singles in the next four innings. That kept the Braves off the board while on the day he put on 10 strikeouts. But the Reds attack had not yet scored a point by that time.

However, that turned into the bottom of the 6th. Will Benson led with a single and stable when the second base with one to get himself in a score position. Matt McLain then continued with a 2-out single in the middle to place Cincinnati 1-0.

The home club would play in the 7th inning after Scott Barlow threw a perfect upper half of the frame. Spencer Steer led road with a walk and with two outs Atlanta brought a lifty to the bullpen to face Will Benson. It was a movement that did not pay when Benson stood a 2-run home run in the seats in the left field to extend the Reds lead to 3-0.

Tony Santillan took over at the top of the 8th for Cincinnati and he came in a jam after a 1-walk was followed by a double to place two men in a score position. The right-handed reliever would come out of things with a 6-pitch strikeout from Austin Riley and a fly to the warning job in the middle that Will Benson could detect.

When the 9th inning rolled around the Reds, it still led 3-0 and they called on Emilio Pagan to try to close things. Things do not go as smoothly as he had wanted. Pagan ran Marcell Ozuna to start the inning and then gave up a single to Michael Harris II to put runners on the corners. Ozzie Albies then hit a soft lining in the middle to bring a point and again the Braves runners had on the corners without outs. After Eli White three had gone a blow, Luke Williams missed a goad-ahead run at home due to a matter of feet and settled for a sacrificial fly to the wall in the left field to bring Atlanta into a run. One pitcher later, the game was in second place on a routine grounder to Matt McLain when Cincinnati hung a 3-2 victory to equalize the series.

Important moment of the game

Jurickson Profar collapsed and strictly at the binding point at the second base to end the Braves 9th inning rally.

Notes worth mentioning

Brady Singer has two walks and 18 strikeouts in his last two starts. That has pushed its season until 111 until 111 in 115.2 innings. His 10 strikeouts on Friday were the first time since his first start in 2024 that he reached double digits in Strikeouts.

Will Benson took two hits in the day. It was the second game in a row that he had two hits. In the 24 games before that, he only had one match in which he reached the base twice.

The Saturday match takes place in Bristol, Tennessee on the circuit. Unless I read incorrectly, this is the first Major League Baseball match that will be played in the state. I would imagine that a few of you will make the journey. Bring back a victory.
