BU received his first deployment of 2009 date of birth when the highly regarded left center James Scantlebury Verballed. A resident of Montreal, the 5-star attacker is PuckPreps #9 North American 2009 Prospect and was arranged #2 for the QMJHL concept.
Reccouting Managing Editor and Head of Amateur Scouting reports that Scantlebury “was heavily recruited by several top teams, including Denver, Michigan and Minnesota.”
PuckPreps’ East -Canada Scout Austin Robson: “James is a very special player and someone who I think has the potential to be a dominant player at NCAA level.”
Scantlebury was taken at #9 by Quebec in the Q Draft, which took place after he had accepted a tender to play for Ushl Chicago Steel next season.

In Chicago, Scantlebury plays for former Nhler Scott Gomez, a teammate of Terrier Head Coach Jay Parolfo On a few New Jersey Devils Stanley Cup winners (2001, 2003).
Last season, Scantlebury generated 170 pounds, a small but solid skater on 5’9 ”.
Prep Pucks, when reporting his tender to the steel, called Scantlebury “No. 2 General Recruit in the 2027 recruitment class” for the QMJHL.
