Bolton Wanderers were busy protecting important signing sessions for Steven Schumacher throughout the summer, but attention must now go to new contracts.
Bolton Wanderers finally started to look like a side that can escape League One after what feels like decades in the third level of England.
Although the results have not always been there this season, Steven Schumacher had the carriers play, and it seems only a matter of time before the results start to match the performances.
Many new BWFC players have impressed this season – with Amario Cozier-Duberry And Xavier Simons immediately become fan favorites.
However, it is the recurring Max Conway that seems to have recorded the hearts of the fans, because in the early stages of this campaign he was one of the best players in the Hardsheet Community Stadium.

The young left back leased on loan last year at Crewe Alexandra and had his Bolton Wanderers debut only at the start of this season, but has already hung his place in the starting XI, prior to the new signature Richard Taylor, who join Schumacher’s side of St.Mirren.
Max Conway becomes Star A Man for Bolton Wanderers
With Taylor who sustained an injury during the preseason, Max Conway was put in the Bolton Wanderers side from the start and quickly became a favorite with fans in the northwest.

| Metric | Total |
| Successful passes | 216 |
| Opportunities created | 8 |
| Successful dribbles | 13 |
| Touches in opposition box | 15 |
| Tackles | 8 |
| Duels won | 56 |
| Intercepetions | 8 |
Even with Taylor now back to full fitness – as proven through his start against Rotherham United in the EFL trophy – Conway does not seem to increase because he offers so much for the trotters.
The 21-year-old excels in the future, but is a more than capable defender and this season he occasionally saw the most threatening player for BWFC.

Bolton Wanderers must act quickly to secure Conway contract
At the end of last season, Bolton Wanderers took their one -year extension option to renew Conway’s contract until the summer of 2026, but little seems to have been done to secure a new deal for the left back.
Conway’s impressive start of the season will not have gone unnoticed by parties in the entire EFL, including teams in the championship. His all -rounder playing style could fit him well for most clubs, and his young age will make him an ideal signing for many teams.
BWFC has to act quickly if they want to secure Conway for the future, or they could see one of their best academic perspectives leave in years for a rival side in League One or the Championship. Some parties may already explore Conway after his impressive start.
