UFC prospect Bo Nickal has said he agrees with coach Mike Brown that he was pushed into big UFC fights too quickly.
As we know, Bo Nickal has been considered one of the most interesting players in all of mixed martial arts in recent years. While he scored a nice knockout victory in his most recent outing, he suffered a nasty defeat to Reinier de Ridder in his fight before that – the first of his professional career.
As you can imagine, many haters of Bo Nickal have been quick to dismiss him and suggest that he is overrated. He’s clearly a very talented fighter and still has a lot of time on the clock to prove that to the world, but we’d imagine the promotion will want to go a little slower with his progression, if only because they realize how big of a star he could actually be.
In a recent interview, his coach Mike Brown suggested that the UFC was too quick to include him in big fights. In a comment on social mediaBo Nickal had this to say.
Bo Nickal agrees with the coach’s opinion
Brown: “He was going a little too fast. We all knew it. He knew it. I knew it. Management knew it. But he was also paid very well. You don’t get the big money fighting guys in the prelims.”
Nickal: “Very true and I appreciate everyone who has helped me along the way, including coach Mike and my management. We are all in this together and we will continue to improve daily. I am grateful for everyone around me and all my support.”
From here it will be interesting to see how Nickal’s career progresses.
