The thrilling harness race victory of the Poster boy colt Its Confidential in the Group 2 $100,000 Vicbred Super Series 3YO Final at Melton was the icing on the cake for a brilliant month for stallions on the Llowalong Farms roster.

A Vicbred champion himself, Poster Boy has cemented his position as this season’s leading colony-bred three-year-old sire with 35 individual winners from 47 starters for a stake of $867,655.

Soho Tribeca, winners of the WA Pacing Cup and Kilmore Cup, were represented by impressive Tasmanian Golden Slipper winner Soho Tuxedo, SA Golden Nursery winner Hez So Royal and Victoria Derby and Vicbred finalist Golden Tribe.

Soho Tribeca, second to Poster Boy in last season’s list of first crop sires, has produced 40 two- and three-year-old winners this season and they have earned $818,987.

Exciting season one trotting sire Pastor Stephen has left 11 winners from 15 starters to date, including last Friday’s Vicbred Silver winner Hallebesofine and The Preacher, who finished a close second in Group 1 The Redwood.

Pastor Stephen’s winners this week include African Gala (Albion Park) and Victorian provincial winners Me And Zac and Pastor Dunbar.

Former USA 2YO Trotting Colt of the Year King Of The North, whose first Australasian crop will be offered at the yearling sale next autumn, was in huge demand at this year’s North American sale.

The $1.3 million winning son of the great Walner had 17 sales for an average of $90,965 at the Lexington Selected Sale, including a colt that fetched a whopping $425,000 and a filly for $180,000.

King Of The North also had 39 copies sold for an average of $62,154 at the Harrisburg Black Book Sale.
