Since leaving Celtic, things have not gone to plan for Furuhashi, and that trend continued during his time at Birmingham City. The forward has struggled to make an impact since his arrival, with limited returns despite making a number of appearances.
His lack of form has seen him drop down the pecking order at St Andrew’s, often as a substitute behind Marvin Ducksch. The German has established himself as the first-choice striker, with Jay Stansfield also preferred in attacking roles.
