Diwali Gifts of Wisdom: Save on my books + Mastermind (until October 31, 2025)
Every Diwali we clean corners that we normally don’t look at. It’s also a nice metaphor for our inner world – for our habits and prejudices that need some fresh air. So this year I’m sharing limited-time offers on the few things I’ve created to give us a clearer understanding: my books and the Mastermind membership.
🎁 The Sketchbook of Wisdom and Boundless (both hardcover): Read my reflections on self-discovery, growth, and living a life that is yours.
🎁 Mastermind Value Investing Membership: My most comprehensive learning program, which now also includes Value Investing Almanack and weekly/bi-weekly live Q&A sessionshas opened with ₹3000 discount for new members. Click here to join now.
Behold, and the light appears
I recently read this beautiful verse from Sant Kabir:
When I was there I wasn’t green, now I’m not green, All darkness disappeared, Mahi saw the lamp.
When I was there, God wasn’t there; now God is there, and I am not. All darkness is gone; the lamp inside is lit.
Kabir does not speak of a deity outside us. He points to something much more subtle: the end of the ‘I’, the end of the self that constantly seeks, compares and becomes.
When that ceases, what remains is “light,” or the illumination that comes when the mind is still and free from its own shadow.
We spend much of our lives chasing light outside us, in wealth, possessions, status, knowledge and even in spirituality. But as long as the self searches, the darkness remains.
Perhaps then our real work is not to seek light, but to see the darkness for what it is… without running from it, and without naming it. In there to seethe light appears.
As you celebrate Diwali with your family and friends, may you encounter that light.
There is no greater clarity and no deeper freedom than that.
Happy Diwali.
