Bee Two Bee is chasing the fifth row in a row

CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – A balanced and competitive program on Saturday afternoon at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at Charlottetown Driving Park with a full card of evenly matched harness racing fields and a featured event late on the card.

Post time is 12:30 for the 12-dash presentation. Race 11 is the main $5,100 conditioned pace event for horses and geldings, and it’s a wide-open affair.

Jk Last Chance gets the inside draw from post 1 for trainer-driver Kenny Arsenault and owner Daniel MacIsaac from Charlottetown. The eight-year-old has raced consistently with three wins in his last four in tough company and can draw perfectly to work out a ground-saving ride. Doc Awesome (managed by Corey MacPherson) has finished second in his last six outings for trainer Darla MacEacher and gets post 2.

Phil Sizer trainer Brookdale Johnny (Paul Langille) is the competitor at post 3, while House Edge Hanover (Gilles Barrieau) holds post 4 for trainer Ron Matheson. Merigo Magic has two wins and two seconds from his last four for trainer-driver Adam Merner and gets post 5 on Saturday.

Bee Two Bee looms from post 6 with Jason Hughes riding for trainer Ashley Gamester after winning his last four starts at this level. The Post Time Picks predicts another win for Bee Two Bee.

“Bee Two Bee has been a killer bee in his last four starts and has the potential for five consecutive trips to the winner’s circle. He circled the field from post six two starts back and should get another live second-over drag in the back half today, so I’m betting he keeps his winning streak intact.”

Race 3 will be held in memory of Byron and Mary Gamester, with Mr Kelly drawing the rails for trainer-driver Adam Merner and owners Marsha Knox, Cory Livingston, Kevin Teasdale and Dustin Macinnis. Other top entries include Buddysnvirgins (Barrieau) and Handsoffnosein (Jaycob Sweet). Race 2 is a PEISHOA event and Starship Destiny is the favorite from post 4 for trainer-driver Kyle Desroche and owners Philip Desroches, Vance Macmillan, Leah Ann Moyer and Ava Lett.
